Last week O&D paid a visit to the High Line, a landscaped park constructed on an old elevated freight rail line, 30 feet above ground. Located in the Chelsea area on the lower west side of Manhattan, the High Line is still a work in progress with the next phase set to open sometime this year.
Our day started when we were greeted by our host and hostess Mr. & Mrs. David Redden, quickly followed by a short tour on the grounds of the General Theological Seminary.
The Chapel of the Good Shepherd
The weather was not in our favor, but we made the best of it
A representative from the park was our tour guide, sharing with us the history and construction of the High Line
After our tour we walked through the Chelsea Market
Beautiful shops at the Chelsea Market, all ready for the Easter Bunny!
Our day ended with a wonderful luncheon provided by our gracious hostess Jeannette.
