GLORIOUS HATS! PART 2 ...

Ladies-
When asked to top last month's exhibit participation, you went OVER THE TOP! There were 18 glorious hats perched on top of member's heads. I could only snap a few - but just to give you the idea ... I tried to hide my facinator (straight from the royal wedding) under Pam's ample brim. Also, the 1810 Garden could not have looked better - cheers to the committee. If anyone else took pictures, please post them for others to enjoy!

GLORIOUS HATS!

At the annual meeting last month, there were twelve (12!) arrangements entered in the artistic exhibit. Next Tuesday, let's see if we can top (no pun intended) that with at least twelve hats entered in the combined artistic/hort exhibit!

Be chic, be cute, be sophisticated, be whimsical, be creative, BUT, most importantly, be sure to be a contender!

DIRECTIONS FROM CHESTER: After arriving in Chester, NY, take Kings Highway/County Route 13 all the way to Warwick (you will go through Sugar Loaf; just keep going until you get to the light in Warwick). Turn left onto Main Street, continue through the 2nd light (bear slightly left at that light), but continue on Main Street and come to the next light with the country club on your right. Turn left onto Route 17A and travel three miles to the little hamlet of Bellvale. Turn left on Iron Forge Road and go one miles to our farm, (Iron Forge Road becomes Bellvale Lakes Road.) I love roads with two names!

After we have our “Walk in the Woods,” we can reverse these directions to go back to Warwick to The Buckbee Center, 1810 Garden and Shop. We are requesting local member to park behind Baird’s Tavern to allow more room for the others to park at The Center.

SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE HORT COMMITTEE MEMBERS!

Immediately following Tuesday’s luncheon, we are asking all past, present and future member of the Hort Committee to join us at Applewood where will be propagating viburnum for next year’s PX. If you have them, please take a long cutting and put it into water, so that you can bring it to our meeting next Tuesday. If possible, provide the name as well. I’d so appreciate knowing if you'll be able to make and also if you can bring a friend. Thanks – SUSIE Hull @ applesusie@hotmail.com or 845.986.1684.
