ART IN BLOOM

This is an invitation to O&D from the Newbugh Historical Society. The last Art in Bloom was held 2 years ago at Kapeles and was quite impressive and well attended. They are hoping that some of us will participate. It is an easy way to gain experience!

Art in Bloom is a combined art and floral design exhibit. Local artists will display works of art that will then be interpreted in floral arrangements by local floral designers.

You are invited to participate in Art in Bloom as a Floral Designer. Local artists have been asked to submit a selection from their works that is not a rendering of flowers or a total representation of a floral theme. Your challenge is to create a floral interpretation of a selected work. The mood, the confluence of colors, the juxtaposition of objects, and the sense of symmetry in each work of art should all influence your floral design. You are welcome, and encouraged, to be as creative as you wish. There are no rules for your design; you are only limited by your imagination!

I hope that you will accept this invitation to be a part of Art in Bloom. Attached is the schedule that will prevail for the event.
